Roight! Gay person who wants to be an author. Hooray for Gregory Maguire. And Chuck Palahniuk. And Oscar Wilde. And Tchaicovsky. Okay, he was a composer; but he was still awesome.
I have a compulsion where I sign up for an account if it is free. Unless it's like a blog site because those are a dime a dozen. I have member ship to some pretty frightening and sketchy sites. Sketchy. TO THE MAX.
I cannot draw. Well, I can but not well at all. Maybe quasi-well, but nothing jaw-dropping and nothing that can be done in less than five minutes. I like art though. It's nice to look at. And stare at. And if you do that whole modern art crap it's fun to make fun of. I swear, in the City of Ottawa, sometimes you have no clue what is art, what is there by accident and what is there for a practical purpose you just do not know.
Yeah. I write fantasy; but I detest Tolken and a lot of that sort. And especially those that are trying to rebirth Tolken to an adolescent audience like Paolini. I can't stand Twilight; I love the first 3 Harry Potter books, have mixed feelings about the 4th and cannot stand the other three. I have infinite respect and admiration for Edgar Allen Poe. He is the author who I idolize and sincerely wish he broke into the novel at some point, not that his short stories are not enough.
And I listen to pretentious classical music obnoxiously loud. I go to university in Canada, Mount Allison University. It's awfully pretentious -- err... I mean prestigious. I'm studying psychology, and I want to take a double-minor in philosophy and English. I'd like to think that my writing slightly portrays philosophical ideas; I try to incorporate my philosophical ideals into what I write. I seem to have an obsession with immortality, godhood, destiny/fate and superpowers.
I'm super shy, and will have a hard time exposing myself to other people. However, I'm super-alright with being exposed to new people, so don't be shy to drop me a line! : )
Cheers!
